  • Understanding the DPM process, the advantages for themselves and the Company

  • Clarifying key job responsibilities

  • Establishing job descriptions

  • Establishing Key Result Areas/objectives in line with Company policy

  • Preparing a self assessment of accomplishments

  • Determining skills and competences to develop Individual Development Plans (IDPs)

  • Adopting a proactive attitude.

Reviewing the job:

  • the job holder’s perception of his/her role

  • participating in the establishment of Key Job Responsibilities and the Key Result Areas/objectives

  • Seeking clarification/avoiding misunderstanding

  • How to set “measurable” and “unmeasurable” objectives

Establishing reviewee’s own skills and competencies – identifying reviewee’s own strengths and improvement areas. Thus providing input for his/her Individual Development Plan.
